there are tons of custom wheel companies, just depends on how much you wanna pay. basically any 3-piece wheel company can make custom wheels. htn, tramont, image, pls, kerscher, j-line, hre, iforged, fikse, etc. imo, hre's and iforged's are overpriced and not worth it. they are more for bling factor than actually drivability. any of those companies will make you some wheels in whatever offset and width you want. image, for example, on their site has a form for measuring to get the exact offset you would want and the width. image wheels are made in the UK, so they take a lil longer, but they would be original and are about 2 grand a set for custom made 16s (i looked into it :) ). thats the end of my wheel story. im no pro or anything though.

CCW is probably the best bang for your buck as far as custom wheels go. VERY light, and I believe they start at about $400/wheel. www.ccwheel.com
Search the track forum on www.bimmerforums.com -- tons of the hardcore Auto-x'ers use them.
I believe Turner is using them on their World Challenge cars now, too.

felgen-man has had some bad reviews though. people getting wheels not in the condition the pictures were and having to wait for like 6 months to get the wheels and find out there is something wrong and having to wait another 6 months to get it fixed, blah blah. i guess that is part of buying super euro wheels that arent readily available on this side of the pond.

I have heard of more than acouple of people having trouble with J-line screwing up orders - big delays. But I also know someone with issues with CCW and Kodiak.

The custom wheel manufacturers take your money and then you wait. . .

True, but everyone I know who has dealt with J-Line, CCW and Kodiak has had delays beyond what was promised.

thats not good to hear. ive heard good things about the wheels themselves, but it would suck to throw down that much money and have to wait even longer or worse, wait that long and get the wrong wheels or them not fit right or something. thats the hard part about ordering custom wheels. you can get them to fit perfectly if you get the right measurements, but if the manufacturer screws up on one thing, then you have to start all over :(

One guy is waiting on some J-lines - they told him after delays that they mistakenly sent his wheels out to someone who ordered an identical set and that it would be at least two more months before he gets his, but they'd pay the shipping.

                              Sad.

if they did that to me, they would be paying for more than the shipping.
