    Spacers with extended lug bolts

I have 20mm H&R spacers for my IX wheels and 43mm lug bolts which are the appropriate length. VAC motorsports (where I bought the bolts from) said that this is a very unsafe setup and the wheel should inevitably fall off and to just buy the stud kit....
I know it's a bit more convenient to mount wheels with studs, but honestly I've only taken my wheels off once in my ownership of my car (1 year) and wasn't too much of a hassle to put the lugs in with the spacers..
    More concerned about safety. Thoughts?

well the positives are that they are hubcentric and you are using the appropriate lugs, to me this is the same as having a properly offset wheel. on the other hand, you are putting more trust on the lugs having the capability to handle the ungodly power that an e30 puts out.

for a DD i think you would be fine, if you were racing in a top level class i would tell you to reconsider your use of said spacers.
