What spacers will make e30 iX 15'' ET41 wheels fit on my '87 325

Preparing to mount some wheels off an E30 iX and battling on what size and brand spacers to buy.

The wheels are E41 (offset) with 205/55/15 and the car has Ireland Engineering lowering springs, which lower the car 2'' in the front and 1.5" in the rear.

Currently looking to get the wheels to FIT! and get the stock spacing back, but with the new wheels.

I have decided 15mm spacers would be my choice, yet some people choose 20mm. I plan to not rub the inner wheel wells, and WILL not have wheels sticking out like it's not supposed to be.

Also thinking I will need a spacer that has it's own hub on it because the hubcentric part of the wheel bearing hub will be overlapped by the spacer.

Asking for your input on what brand spacer to use and size! Thanks!!

I ran iX wheels on my 318is for a couple of years. Lowered on TMS J-Stock suspension. Tires were 225/50/15 Toyo RA1's. I used 15mm H&R spacers and everything fit fine.

I did have to slightly roll the inner fender lip on one of the rears. It was barely touching. If you're planning to run 205's then you shouldn't have any problem at all.

Euroweaves are et24 which is what you would want for fitment it sounds like. So that means 15mm spacers will make a final et of 26, pretty close. 20mm will start to make them fit further out, though still not close to 'sticking out'. A matter of preference really, search through some fitments on here and see what you like best.
You should buy hubcentric spacers for sure, extended lugs will be needed as well.

Still unsure on future tire size....I want to consider 205 / 40 /15. Mainly want lower profile tires and wider is also a plus, but not necessary. No way I want to have to worry about fender rolling yet!! :P

Hubcentric spacers would be the safest and smartest plan. I am aware of needing extended lugs. Still calculating sizes on that. I am starting to see how the math works on offset calculations. Your example helps, thank you. Seems I need to know the hub size on my E30 also, to ensure I have the correct sized spacer to eliminate a possible gap or non fitting contact surface.

Still need 2 more wheel caps! Only have two from the seller.

205/40/15 are WAY to small, don't do it. 205/55/15 are the proper size, some run 205/50/15 though still slightly undersized.
          Hub bore is 57.1 mm

            ^^ Hub Bore Thanks.

Tire sizes: Just looked a bit on tire rack....225/40/15 would be a very odd size. Seems 205/50/15 would be ideal.

Quick look into the future: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

As far as bolts go... with the ET 41 on my ix wheels + spacers

            ET41 - 15mm (spacers)= ET26 End result.

How long bolts to reach and clear the wheel cap? 43mm bolts?

After this its picking a trusted Brand: H&R

(seems to be the popular one I see so far)

BMP H&R Spacers Below... Price is a bit more then I intended for a cheap wheel upgrade...

Check out miata tire calculator to determine proper tire size, 195/65/14 is OE.
H&R is fine, but there are also guys on here that make and sell good looking products, support the community imo.
Not sure on the bolts, 15 mm longer than stock would do it i think. Whomever you buy the spacers from should be able to hook you up.

Such as 42 Draft Designs, I am awaiting their e-mail response.

Anyone else? Guess I need to search the threads....

Buy the spacers from Motorsport Hardware! Check the wheels FS forum for his thread at the top or visit www.motorsporthardware.com

15mm is a good choice, this is what I am using on my 86 325eS with iX weaves. A 205/55/15 or 225/50/15 tire is the proper overall diameter.

I second that. Ryan is a pleasure to deal with.

Stick with the tried-and-true when it comes to spacers. Buy a set of 15mm hubcentric H&R Trak+ spacers. Rather than buying longer lugnuts, take the opportunity to upgrade to proper wheel studs from Bimmerworld or Turner Motorsports. Much stronger/safer than lugnuts.
