    Having 8" rims machined

    I hate these kinds of threads but i just had to do it because i want this to be right.

    This reguards the Slipstream GB and we are trying to decide on an offset.
    I hope someone with 8" experience could please help!!

    Its a question if et20 will actually be enough to not have tires, 225 or 245, rub on the strut. I suggested that maybe et15 would be enough to be positive it will not happen. TIA!

    I spoke with 2002maniac about this.

    I know for a fact 16x8.5" ET17 wheels will fit 245's. These wheels have 3mm more room on the inside, but then again tire width is still almost a constant.

    I'd wager that they will fit fine. Worst case scenario, 3mm spacers up front. I don't think it's worth it to make them ET15, because then everyone will have fender clearance issues.
