    possible 15 x 8 wheel to be made....interested?

Id like to get an idea if there is any substantial interest:

1)hi quality flow formed wheel( stronger than very common cast wheels, almost as strong as a forged wheel)...made by Jongbloed...a very well known brand for many years.

    2)15 x 8

3)we can decide on offset...Im thinking +15 to around 20. But once we decide it will only be that offset.

    4) here is an image from the manuf. of a Spec Miata 15 x 7 wheel.

    5) We would add the extra inch to outboard side of wheel..so a lip per se.

    6) 199.00 usd each.....the more folks want the cheaper it can be.

    7) 57.1/ 4 x100, not multi drilled hub!..for our cars specifically.

    8) under 14 lbs

    what else?..let me know.

(thanks again to Buddy for starting me on this.....)

The only other things that come to mind are estimated weight, and will they clear a BBK?

those would be my exact thoughts as well....

I added weight to the post above....under 14 lbs.

I too use a BBK( Massive STREET, so not that BBK..lol)......and as of this moment Im not 100 % sure of BBK fitment....but I do consider it a priority.

Glad to hear it's a priority. I have UUC's kit which isn't huge either, but I think a good number of these will end up as track wheels where it is a consideration. Also there aren't many BBK friendly options in 15's right now, so it would be a good selling point.

15x8 in white would be pretty damn cool.

Why not make copies of euro 15x7 basketwaves? They look great and work perfectly with E30 geometry

                Shame.

15x8 +20 would fit a lot of other cars besides the e30. It would be stiff competition, though.

IMHO, 16x8, et20 fronts and 16x9 et15 rears would be a great size and fit for E30. Not too big, not too small. Lug pattern: 4x100, cb:57.1. No multi lug.

                    Front tire size: 215/40/16
                    Rear tire size: 225/45/16

16 inch tires are hard to find, but so are good looking, quality wheels made for E30. IJS.

I think the success of this will really depend on the final weight.

                      TRMotorsports C1 weighing 14.6 for $104

                      949Racing 6UL weighs 12.9 (but wrong offset for e30) for $159

If you can get the proper clearance for common big brake kits and weight at or below 13.5lbs, these will do very well at about $180

These are performance focused wheels; 16" wheels don't have the rubber support behind them to be of any interest.
