    fitting wheel studs.

I have fitted wheel studs to the front with no problems. The rear however I am having problems. It seems like I cannot get torqued up. I done them up finger tight and then tried to torque them to 20lb and they seem to keep rotating. Is there a problem or have I not tightened them up enough? They do not a shoulder but a slight furrow.

The holes in the hub go all the way through, so there is nothing for the stud to bottom out on. You want to install them so the stud is flush with the back of the hub. If the studs you are using have a section in the middle that is not threaded, thread them in until that section hits the front face of the hub. Don't forget to use some locktite on them when installing them.

Just make sure you install them the right way. As above, one end has much shorter thread designed to bottom out in the hub. If you have them around the wrong way it will just keep turning the studs.
