    TRM 15x8 Tire Suggestions

Well I just ordered a set of TRM 15x8 wheels. I may have jumped the gun as it seams there are very few tires made in 225/50 r15 and I feel like running 205/50 r15 tires is a waist. If I wanted to run that size what was the point of buying 8" wide wheels?
Anyways. I am looking for something like a Dunlop Dirrezza ZII or a Falken Azeni Rt615K. Sadly nether of these two tires come in this size.
The Toyo R888 come in 225/50 r15 but are a bit more $ and I feel like I would burn through them faster then the previously mentioned tires, because I do street drive the car from time to time.
Does anyone have any tire suggestions?
I feel like I should have bought some 16x8 et20 wheels so I could run 225/45 r16 tires. Oh well

    Thanks

most people run 225/45r15. The height difference is not too much.

Check out the recent tire test in Grassroots - Andy Hollis (autox champ, very knowledgeable tire guy) indicated that the 225's don't show their speed until you get up to a 9 inch wide tire (BFG Rival test 205 vs 225). His testing indicated 225s ran about the same autox times as the 205 on 8 inch wide wheels, but were also squishier than the 205s.

          Exactly ^^^

A general rule stated in that article was tread width should be equal to or slightly less than wheel width. Going wider tread than wheel width yeilds no benefits. 205/50/15 rivals are pretty much a perfect match for a 8" wheel.

Good to know. I read a few tire reviews, but non of them covered tire widths. Thanks!

Im in San Rafael right now. Working 6 day weeks. Sooooo tired today.
I think I am taking a full weekend next weekend. I wish I could go to the BMWCCA Cars and Coffee this Saturday at the Marina Green but I have to work. :(
I think they are making it a regular thing though.
