    rare centercaps dilema

Got these 80s Momo wheels in the mail yesterday.

I've been looking around for some center caps, w/ no luck (1987 wheels, go figure). I think these wheels look much better with them. Are there any other centercaps I could subsititute? Any universal centercaps that might work?

    Something like that.

    1. Make some out of aluminum/sheet metal or something. They're flat - not that bad.

    2. Check on ebay.de - they seem to have more old school rims and parts :)

      I tried e30.de
My online translator sucks or something, because ever combination of momo rad, momo räder and momo mitte bedeckt turned up 0 results.

I mean ebay.de, haha, sorry. Got e30s on the brain.

Anyhow, I went and measured the centers, they are 7.75" .
Would some smooth caps like these work?

Two of the wheel centers are flush, with nothing sticking out past the wheel, two of the wheels have some threading sticking out ~1" from the wheel center. What's the deal w/ that?

Alright, I've never delt w/ centercapped wheels before, so I've still got some questions before I can figure out a replacement.

#1 what keeps centercaps on the wheel?
#2 what are those threads sticking out from only two of the wheel centers?

this is the center caps for those wheels.
thing that sticking out is were cap screws into, those always comes loose.
                    i hope pics help you.

Thanks. Where did you get those pics? Do you have some of these centercaps... that you want to sell me?

Anyhow, barring a miraculous gift from e30grip of momo centercaps to my door, my chances of finding those caps are slim.

Anybody have any ideas on how I could get some blank 7.75" caps to stay on?
