    Toyo Proxes T1R - 225/(45-40)/16 on 16X7.5 et20 possible?

i'm buying new wheels and i want to know if someone runs a 225 on a 7.5 et20 wheel, i know it will involve rolling. I might go with a 225/40 to help stuff them under there
i know et25 is optimal but the alpina kopis come in 17X7.5 et20 so i bet it's not that bad

and any bad things about the T1R?

    thanks

225's will fit a 7.5 wide wheel fine.

do you have a early or late e30?

If its lowered on soft springs its going to rub.

If its lowered at all its likely gonna rub.

car is lowered but pretty stiff

even with 225/40 which are 23mm shorter in diameter than a 225/45 you think there no chance at all

Stiff like what? Thats very subjective.

            Spring rates?

Don't go with tires so undersize in diameter. it looks ghey.

yeah i know it's very subjective, but i don't have the rates when i asked koni bout that they told me that the were progessive and didn't had a specific spring rates for them...bullshit

if it looks ghey or not...is not the question :D

He might not rub, I have H&R race on my car with 225/50-15 on 15x7 et20.

225/45/16 will fit fine. Worst case scenario, you'll have to flatten the rear semi-rolled fender lips slightly.

But get Hankook R-S2's. They're better than T1-R's in everything but wet, performance-wise that is.

thanks mystikal, i'll give it a try unless someone tell me from real life experience that it won't fit.

I'll check those hankook if they are if they same price range of the t1r, but the place where i'm suppose to buy them only have 3 tire in 225/45-16

They're a lot cheaper, last time I checked.
