Tire size on 17x7.5 wheels

Trying to figure out what tire size to choose on my 17x7.5 wheels. Would like as wide as possible so 215/45/17 or 225/45/17. I am just afraid 225s might be to wide on 7.5 wheel???

Punch your figures in there. the 225's, imo, are going to have too much sidewall bulge for a track car. 215's look like they might be ok... might need a wider wheel.

215/40/17 i use on my 7.5x17

225/45 is way too tall for an E30.

215/40 is what most run (including myself) but a 215/45 would work.
