    225/45/15 RS3 & Rivals sold out, suggestions?

Id really like to put some 225/45's on a set of15x8 wheels.

I know I can easily just buy 205/50's however cosmetically I want the wider tire. Yes I know that may sound silly.

RS3's are backordered in this size with no delivery estimation and Rivals are backordered until nearly May according to tire rack customer service.

Any tire gurus have some suggestions, I dont really wish to run an R comp on the street.

Ouch. I'd wait for either to come back in stock, personally. Otherwise 205/50 of the same makes are still much better than 225/45 R1Rs.

225/45 rivals were available the other day on tire rack if you're still looking.

225/45 RS3's are back in stock at the Tire Rack, and should be the new version with updated compound, retains the same tread pattern.

            Note: Virgin R3v Limited Post:

I run the 225/45 Rivals on my 15x8 wheels now. Depending on your cars height, fender rolling situation, and offset of the wheels, Id do some homework before buying the tires at all bc they were a pain to fit. My car is lowered on some Ireland Engineering springs and I don't know what drop from factory they are.

1st setup: 15x8 +0 - front all clear, rear rub at fender even with roll
2nd setup: 15x8 +10 front, 15x8 +17 rear, both front and rear clear of struts, control arms, and fenders.

            Hope this helps!

They are a pain to fit if you get zero offset stancecar wheels. The +20 TRM C1 fits 225/45s without even a fender roll.
              paint sucks

Yeah, I have a thread with near a half million views where I beg people monthly to stop buying AE86 zero-offset wheels for their E30s. They don't fit!

I need an advise too, you think 225/45-15 on Ronals 7.5 ET 25 would fit w/o rubbing on a car with minimal drop, like the H&R OE springs?

Never mind, I used the offset calculator and I should be Ok.
