    New Wheels ???

    Hey Everyone,
I am in the market for new wheels for my cabrio. I found a set on ebay and they are really good looking but the offset is wrong. The stock offset on our cars is 25-27 mm right? These wheels are 17 x 7 with a 40mm offset so my question is will these wheels work with 15mm spacers or am I completely wrong for thinking this.
Keep in mind I am converting the car to an e30 m3 so I will have wider front and rear fenders.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

40mm offset wheels will work with a 15mm spacer, but you'll also have to make sure that the wheels are the correct centerbore to fit on the E30 hub. If they're a larger centerbore, you'll have to use hub centering rings to have the wheels sit in the correct spot. If it's too small, you won't be able to use them. Your best bet is really to look for a set of wheels that have the correct offset and centerbore, so you don't have to use all of that, or at least a better offset, so you don't have to use such large spacers.
