spacers x wheel offset x tire specs for 90 325is

Ok, I am about to purchase the bilstein shocks/H&R spring sport package from turnermotorsports which lowers the car by 1.25". I am also going to get some spacers from them. (finally, two mods that transform the look and feel of the E30). My wheels have an offest of 38, tire size is 215/40 R17. Can anyone with or without a 90 325is tell me what size spacer to use without going to far, as in enough to scrape???? Thanks!!

how wide are the wheels? offset is meaningless if you dont know the width.

Assuming this is a 7" or 7.5" rim, yeah, 15mm spacers.

Well in my case, I will have to use longer studs because of my wheels. The holes the studs/ lug bolts go through are to narrow (the head of the lug "bolt" doesn't fit into the hole of my wheels). So I am basically screwing nuts onto the end of a stud and then screwing the stud into the wheel hub. BTW, does anyone no of any negatives in doing it this way...

You cannot do that. The stud needs to be torqued and loctited into the hub, and THEN you mount the wheel and use the lug nuts to attach the wheel.

SHIT!!!!!! DAMN!!!! I am never going to get these fng wheels on!!!!! I special ordered these like a dumbass. I should have just asked first! DAMN!!!! Can I just have them torqued and loctited in with the nut on the end of it? You know what I mean?
