    Wheel detailing?

I just got my new rims from FedEx today, and I'm stoked as hell that they're here, but they arrived with some light scuffing/scratching around the lips where the cardboard they were wrapped in sat, along with the center caps. It's not bad or really deep, but it's pretty apparent (to me at least) on all 4 of the wheels, it's like a light hazing in the pattern of the corrugation of the cardboard. The lips are machined and clearcoated, so I tried some wax, and that helped a little. I'm thinking that since they're clearcoated, I'm going to try some light cutting compound on them, and see if that clears it up. Anyone have any ideas?

Here's some pics of what I'm talking about:

They need to be stripped if the clear coat is plastic.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Borbet. I swear they must use the softest clearcoat on the planet. I've owned at least five sets and on every set the clearcoat went down the toilet, fast.
