    New wheels have arrived...

My new wheels arrived via FedEx yesterday. 16 x 7.5 Borbet Type E. Got them and 4 8mm H&R spacers for an awesome deal from Jarvis. They're used, and have some light nicks and scuffing here and there, but a couple of good rounds with some cutting compound already took out most of the surface imperfections. I'm going to do them one more time, clean them SUPER good, and give them a good coat of wheel wax while they sit for a week or two until I get my tires. They have about a 1" lip, I can't wait to get them on the car. I've always liked the Type E's, so I'm pretty stoked about them.

Here's a couple of pics that the seller took, I'll take some when I get them all cleaned up.

One of them has a small smack to the underside of the lip, about 3/4" long. I'm going to Dremel the rough spots down smooth, then polish out the metal, and try to make it a little less noticeable. It should just come out looking like a dent. It's going to be mounted at the rear anyway, and I'm sure no one would ever notice it but me.

Those wheels are hideous. Only ones worse that immediately come to mind are those monstrsities Jimmy Warren used to run.

Then I guess it's a good thing they aren't going on your car, isn't it, Dave?

No doubt, as my flat black rattle canned VW steelies are better looking than those.

I told you that you needed to stick to 5 spoke. Those are gonna look perfect on your car. Can't wait for pics.
