    Good Street Tires

I'm looking to throw some tires on a set of 16x7 wheels I bought recently. There is lots of negative camber in the back, so I need tires that have either good wear rates, or NON-direction tread patterns, so I can rotate and get the most out of them.

However, I do live British Columbia, and have lots of twisty roads to enjoy. I need something with decent traction, wet or dry.

I'm also on a bit of a budget (damn you tuition!). The tires can't cost too much.

Any suggestions other than the Falken 512's and Hankooks already recommended?

    Thanks

Both good summer tires that wear quite well. The Falkens and the Hankooks wear much faster.

You know you can get directionals flipped on the rims, its just assymetricals you can only use on one side.

Hey sepher, join up on bimmerclassics.net if you havn't already, we're local bc e30 enthusiasts :).

My dad is running the falken 512s and they grip great in the rain! Another option is the Toyo proxes 4, i've heard good things about them as well. 1010tires.com and tiretrends.com are local in the lower mainland.

not a fan of the 512's the sidewalls are too soft... almost to the point of being dangerous. BFG g-force sports are a great choice

agree on gforce sports i am getting great wear out of mine, even w/ spirited driving. I don't do much launching or anthing because my 318is is pretty slow, but once it gets rolling i toss it around pretty good.

They wear faster than most summer tires too. Awesome traction though.

If budget is an issue, check out the Nexen N3000's on ebay. You can get a set of 225/45/16 for $225 plus $64 shipping. I've seached all over the net for info on them. From what I've gathered, they're a great deal for the money. Not the best, but good performance and last a long time. I'm about to order a set for myself. Well I went with the Nexen's. The GF's Honda had the N2000's on it and I like the way the are in the rain so...
