    ESM Wheels... Any good?

I'm looking at possibly buying ESM 002r 17" wheels in black for my 325ix. They are style five 1 piece with the 3 piece weave look. Anybody know anything about the brand or have any pictures on an e30. Or are there any other style 5's in black that you would suggest?
I spend 90% of my money and women, cars, and booze. The other 10% is wasted.

I have some esm 007's if I remember correct. And they are pretty decent for the type of look they bring. I am kinda wanting some less wide now. Rims came with the car when I bought it.

I think they only make a 15 or 20 offset now. Your ix wants 41 offset, or 8"/ 35 offset. You'll be past hellaflush and into unworkable with that low of an offset on an ix. Too bad 'cause the 002 in the platinum is good looking bling. I'd probably have a set if they made a +40 offset in those

if you need that high an offset. Look for a UK company called Dare Wheels. They make RS style weaves in high offsets for FWD cars too.

These wheels surprised me. They were on the car when I bought them. I have slammed into many potholes and not a bend on them.

Only $500 for a set of wheels? Exact same quality as XXR, STR, MST etc etc. Considering the similarities with all of these wheels including pricing, I wouldn't be surprised if they're all made in the same factory and possibly all the same company in the first place.

Dare have a factory in china that has TUV/KBA approval for their wheels as they make wheels for other companies not just producing replicas. So at least they are a decent company with proper QA guidelines in place to hopefully weed out a substandard product.

Not getting into the whole copy debate, just saying they appear to make a good quality cast wheel.

I have some of the BB5 ones which were pretty popular maybe 5 years ago before BBS sued everybody and they vanished without a trace. Been running them on some pretty bad roads for nearly 2 years now and they are still true, no signs of cracks. Be interesting to find out who originally produced these. It's sometimes difficult to work out just exactly who the manufacturer of these wheels are because if you search on the usual chinese trade sites for bbs replicas, most of the listings are wholesalers, not actually the manufacturer.
