    Anyone Ever Widened Bottlecaps?

Well it's no secrete I actually love the way the old bottlecaps look. One day I will buy the 16" newer version that a couple companies make. I am entertaining the idea of actually widening my back 2 wheels to 7.5 or 8". This would let me look stock but have a 225 or 235 rear tire. What do you all think?

I think this is better.....(photoshoped IIRC)

and these - but not black (for the love of all things good) - these are real

custom 3 piece as George Graves posted above.

Just widening them will require spacers because if you add 2" you're going to add 2" of backspacing. Seems better to run full custom 3 piece and make them land in the right place to begin with instead of running spacers+new lugs or stud kit+lug nuts.

I was going to have the 2" added to the outside or front of the rim, but I think I have changed my mind. The only tires I can find that would fit the wider 14" wheel is a BFGoodrich white letter tire.. I loved them on my old Camaro but not so much for my little E. Dang nice pics George, made my mouth water.

I am thinking in the $100 - 150 range per wheel for the mod, but I don't know if I want to do that because I can buy some decent wheels for $600. But then again some fat caps would be pretty sweet and not something you see every day.

Those 3-piece are one-offs. I think the guy is in Poland? He takes all sorts of factory wheels and turns the to 3-piece masterpieces. I'm pretty sure he has a thread on here somewhere. Anyways, I doubt you can even buy those, on his FB page he specifically made them for his personal ride.
