Question about specs for a 15x8" wheel made?

Im looking at haveing a set of 15x8" wheels made. They would need the specs i want. I want all the extra width to be to the outside lip of the wheel. So would i just stick with the stock backspacing so the extra width would only go the front? Thats all they needed to know, was backspacing, and some brake caliber messurements to see if it, clears it. They don't say anything about offset, but the offset on a 8" rim would be in the area of et20 right from the the stock rims et35. Does anyone know the proper specs that size wheel should be?? Plus wouldn't the offset i want be something they should know?? dusty

if you post your stock wheel specs someone will do the math but yeah you need et20ish. plans to uprade to larger calipers? take it into consideration now. Jline got a template for my brake kit before they made my wheels.

For what its worth, here's a 225/45R15 Hoosier on a 15x8 Kosei, ET22. Rear fitment required the fenders be rolled ('89 325is), front required about 5mm in spacers and a mild fender roll. Yes, the tire is a wide 225, but the pic demonstrates how marginal the fitment can be.

        Stock offset for a 15x7 E30 wheel is ET24.

Adding to Garrick's post, ET22 is perfect for 225/50/15 street tires. If you're planning R-comps, get something a bit further out.

GRM wrote something that 225 hoosiers are almost as wide as 245 kuhmos...

anyway, i look forward to installing my ET20 15x8s and seeing how they fit. seems to be the popular spec
