So, I'm upgrading to bigger brakes in the front and need to go to bigger wheels (currently running 14s). My primary interest is handling and performance, so I'm thinking 15s are the way to go as it is the minimum diameter I can use with these brakes. However, I'm trying to determine what width I should look at based on the tires available. I'm looking at road 'performance' tires, no track / autocross tires.
Toyo Proxes R1R look the most promising in 15s, but I wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with these tires or tires their thought were better. I've been combing the forums, but tire availability in these sizes seems to change almost on a daily basis, so I wanted to get some more up-to-date information.
I'm on the Bilstein/H&R combo and have not rolled the fenders, but I'm open to doing it for the right tires. I do a lot of aggressive spirit driving and nothing in life bothers me more than having shitty tires!
Thanks in advance!
