E30 flares please help me.

So I bought some xxr530 17x8.25 and running 245/40r17. I know they do not fit so I bought kamotor standard flares about 2 months ago. They have been crazy busy and that is fine. But I need to install my tires today because I had both of my rears blow out on me because I had zero treat what so ever. I have searched a lot and wondering where do people usually cut there fenders for the fares. I do not have the flares to reference them. I am going to just cut my fenders right now so u can install my wheels. I know it is getto but I need to do it until my flares arrive.
Hopefully I am posting thing in the right spot.

you should wait man. cutting once is better than fixing it after the fact
