Rob - not to sound like a smart ass, but can you be specific? I've always been a big fan of the deep dish baskets, but looking at this thread you E30 vets don't seem so enamoured with them. What would be your favorite set up(s)?

Sean, these aren't great, they're not greater than great, they're greater than greatest (or however than annoying commercial goes). If only you had a grey cloth interior...... ;)

i'd be happy to elaborate. I just dont get why people get all hot and bothered by a heavy-ish, hard to clean, over priced set of wheels. For the same price, or cheaper, you could have Team Dynamics or Koseis, which are both lighter, and look better (to me). Now granted neither of those have the 'dished' look, but I'm not really a fan of that either. My dream wheel is a 15x7.5 SSR comp, but I'd need a five lug :P Realistically I'd go for the K1, just because they're cheap, light, easy to clean, lots a open space to promote cool brakes (like temperature, not cool looking haha), and they look good, to me at least

I agree, Rob. Those RZ's are really sweet looking to me, but I wouldn't want them. You are right about them being heavy and hard to clean. The more open the sopke pattern, the better. I do like a little bit of dish though. :D

I've noticed you've almost posted more in Seans threads than he has.... seperation anxiety foo? ;)

I was possessed by the prospect of buying the RZ's.... Ebay.de, ebay.com, I searched everywhere. Hell I would ask Airik (e9nine) at least 10x a day if he would sell me his wheels. I even offered to trade him a rollbar for them too!

Then my dad hit me *metaphorically* upside the head. He said "Dont you remember how much you cursed cleaning the 14" baskets this summer???"

                    To which I replied....
                    hmmmm good point.

---Thus ended my desire for RZ's.
I still harass Airik though. 8)

To each and their own. Heavy 15" that don't bend and look "stockish" yet stealth and a bitch to clean are my choice. Others out there are more prone to bend, might need spacers and might make the stock brakes look a lil too puny unless you go in for a BBK. I am addicted to basketweaves. I have always been in love with dish. old sch e21 and e30 heads are the ones who like these style of wheels the most.

There are other wheels out there I'd consider but theft, too much $$ and too much bling are what turned me away from them...I'd still give some other wheels a consideration in the future if they fit the bill perfectly.

UnicornChrLL you're still welcome to my block to come steal 'em

Now now guys, don't let my pretty RZ's make you all jealous of me. (and, yes, Rob, it would look a lot better with grey interior... ;))

Kris, you are absolutely right - they are now on, and look AMAZING! If only my dad had the digital camera at home, but, too bad - he does not. It just REALLY needs to be lowered now.

Yes, I know they'll be hard to clean. I found this out when I spent a good 2 hours today getting these things spotless. Driving around for 20 minutes already put a feint layer of brake dust on the front wheels (which I cleaned off).

I looked at the Kosei's, I looked at everything. The Kosei's didn't appeal to me. Why? They looked way to ricey. Yes, they are light - that was sweet - but, they still didn't fit the bill when it came to every day wheels to me.

When I saw the RZ's, I fell in love. Sure, they'll be hard to clean. And, they really aren't THAT heavy - I'll measure them sometime. The offset is PERFECT. Something else I hate are spacers, and these wheels don't require them, another reason I use them.

They'll remain my every day wheel for a long time. Down the road, I'll probably get 15" Kosei's for autocrossing, but they'll remain autocrossing rims, cause that's really the only time they look good on my car - I think.

So, I'll get pictures up here of them on the car asap...

Ok, here's one pic of the wheels on my car:

I'll go out for a photo shoot later. My dad needed the camera today, so I very quickly snapped a few shots of the car in the garage. Looks to be a beautiful day. 8)
