    tire size questions

Have an opportunity to purchase 16" rims and want to know if there are any benefits other than looks, to the larger size. Also want to know if there are any drawbacks. I have heard that larger size means rougher ride and want to know if that it true. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Also, will it be necessary to lower my car if I put on these larger rims. Next, what size tires are recommended. I just mainly cruise around in my vert so a smooth ride is important.

I run 225/45/16 on my vert. Wheels are 16x7.5 it's a lot of tire for a 16 but it rides nice and soft and there is plenty of traction.

Also my car is slightly lowered but should be fine at stock height.

The wheels are 0 offset. Will I need to add spacers? My car is otherwise stock.

Find the wheel/tire fitment thread on the forum. Then try searching the thread for someone with the same size wheel/tire setup and see if they needed spacers, fender rolling, etc
