45 offset, will 15mm spacers even be enough???

I am more than likely about to purchase some wheels with a 45 offset, I imagine these sit way inside, correct? Will 15mm spacers even be enough (not only enough to clear the strut but also to bring me nice and flush with the fender). Thanks

    Wheel is 17" x 7.5" / Tires 215 40

Depends on the size of the wheel, but most likely it wont.

Usually to flush a wheel with the fender you need an offset of 5-15, so you would need a 40mm spacer.

Sorry, wheels are 17" x 7.5, tires are 215 40. Ok well not "flush" but you know, close enough to the fender to look ok. 45 offset is do-able right?

With enough spacer, yeah its doable..... you might rub some with 15mm spacers. The ideal would be 20mm.

any negatives to having that big a spacer? my tires will waste on the inside more, right?

spacers dont add camber. As long as the spacer is of good quality and you have all the longer studs lugs, etc... you should be good.

cool, thanks bro. I plan on getting the 20mm from TMS and some longer bolts special ordered from Gorrila.

I don't want to beat a dead horse, or try to "lecture" you, but I'd find it a better idea to find wheels that fit without spacers. I made the mistake of planning wheels around spacers and ended up inconviening myself a lot.

Why spend extra to fit one set of wheels to your car?

Of course, this can all be justified if the wheels are hot enough. (POST PICS NOW)

that's a REALLY good and valid point however these wheels are pretty nice, IMO, and the guy is selling them at a really good price. I cannot afford new wheels and tires so I have to buy used.
