    Tire fitment

    Hey R3v,

So I am currently running 205/40/17 Nexen n3000 (shitty tires!) in the fronts and 235/40/17 yokohama s drives in the rears. My rim size up are 8 inches wide and I'm running 9 inches in the rears.

I want to switch the fronts to yokohama s drives but im not sure what size to go with... I want to go with the 215/40/17s but I am not sure they will fit without rubbing the front splash guard.

My suspension setup: bilstein sport shocks with IE stage 3 springs. I also have condor Polyurethane M3 offset control arm bushings. My current front tires barely clear the front splash guard when the wheel is turned. I know the yokohama's have a more "stretched" look compared to the Nexens more square corners. Should I go with the yokohama 215/40/17 :D or go with the 205/40/17s to be on the safe side?

You'll rub on the front. The rear will clear, but just barely.

Run the 215/40/17 tires. You'll be fine.

I had 215/40/17 on my 8.25 wide wheels. They were little stretched but great traction tires for summer. Can't say the same thing for rain and winter.
