    My tires are shot!

    (go figure)

But I would like a nice semi-sticky tire with decent treadwear that comes in either 14" or 15" and for a good price. 205/55 or 205/60 preferred.

Want to be better wear than those cheater Azenis, but not cushiony soft sidewalls. Preditablility is a major plus!

Let me know what you recommend!

i know a lot of my drifter buddies recommend yokohama es100s up front..a little soft and will wear fast if you drive hard on a daily basis.but great traction. as for the rear try some bfg g-force sports or hankooks. watched a guy run a complete drift event on some hankooks and then drive home on them..not sure which model it was..think it was the ventus HRII.

      Stiff sidewalls, predictable?

ES100's, as much as I hate their other capabilities they are awesome for dry weather flogging at or past the limits. Unfortunately there seems to be a new trend of tires getting softer sidewalls than their predecessors (712 vs. SPT, RT-215 vs. RT-615, etc). Looks like pussies are complaining about ride quality or something.

Besides the ES100's, which are really ONLY good for drifiting, look into BFG G-Force Sports, KDWs, and Hankook Z212 RS2's. They're all very predictable, very responsive tires in 14/15 sizes. The RT-615 is still the best choice, but you know that!

        615s softer than 215s? Weak.

        anyway,

If I want to track, would G-Force Sports hold up? Drifting is just another form of vehicle dynamics, and it's no coincidence one of the good drifters locally tracks as well, so I want to practice Grip to help my Slip.

very tempted by RS2s in 195-60-14. (although they might wear out fast... and not be THAT cheap). Also, BFG in 15" or Zeix.... hmmm.

thanks 4 the help though. Helped 2 confirm my guesses. ES100s might be non-ultra sticky like I'd like, while stiff enough sidewalls for feel/control

for drifting dont run es100s in the rear. they chunk really bad. as far as grip the hankooks or bfgoodrich g force sports would be my choice. ive run the g-forces and was really happy with them.
