I'm in the process of getting new wheels for my 1987 325is. Originally I wanted to get 16x8 in the front and 16X9 in the back. After talking to a couple of people, I came to find out that supposedly I can't run spacers because it wouldn't allow enough torque and the wheel could fall off. Also, someone told me that by having a 9in wide wheel or spacers it could cause "flex fractures" in the suspension. I've never heard of this. I've seen plenty of people have the setup i'm going for but that doesn't necessarily mean its the greatest for the car. What is your opinion on this? Ideally I want my car to look like this:

Flex Fractures?

Okay first thing, you can run spacers fine as long as you run longer hub bolts or studs. Also I have no idea what your friend is talking about flex fractures, guys are running much larger wheels than that and haven't had any suspension failures. The only thing that will happen is if run a big spacer your wheel bearings might fail just a tiny bit faster
