    225 45 r15 on 15x8?

I have some new wheels in the mail ;D and they are 15x8. +17 offset

is 225 too wide? I want to protect the lips. Right now I have 205's and they are nice, I don't think 2 more cm will make a huge deal. I am also having trouble finding anything else like 215 45 r15.

I want to keep the sidewall semi tall to match the RD of my current wheels

205 50 15 is also an option, maybe better. The car is going to be a street car no track time

    225/45 is perfect for 15x8

You can run up to 245s on 16s without a problem. Except your fenders I mean. But 225 45 is noice.

I also ran 225/45's on 15x8 wheels. They're a little shorter than stock, but they fit great. Car was lowered on H&R sports.

Unfortunately there are no 5x120 15x8s being made anymore. Or at least that I can locate.
