refinishing the Schnitzers, one down, four to go

I am going to refinish my set of wheels. The paint is duplicolor silver with a clearcoat. The wheel in the pics used to be chrome and was my test piece. I am very happy with the results and can't wait to finish the rest of them. Wheel finishing is a bitch BTW.

    Too much bling?

This was a test wheel. I think I put too much clear coat on it and it gave it a yellowish hue. I put half a can on this one wheel. It didn't really look yellow until the paint cured overnight.

They're ugly. You should mail them to me and I will dispose of them :)

Hoping to find a set of ACS for myself. Where'd you score these gems?

Very nice work but should have kept the lips
            machined or polished.

A little too much flake in the silver, for me --- but they look clean.

I agree, too, about the lips --- they need to be machined --- then they'll be SUPER-hot!!

              Fingers crossed for Scott ;)

I bought them off ebay.de, had them sent to AcNico, and he then sent them to me. If you could find someone on ebay.de to send them to you directly then you could save some cash. I spent nearly $400 just in shipping.

I agree they would look hot with a machined or polished lip, but that is just a lot more time and money than I want to put into them right now.
