    Tires for Kosei 15X7

I just ordered the Koseis from Tire Rack (15X7 Et27) I want to put RA-1s on them and have to pick from 205/50 15 or 225/50 15. Tire Rack recommended 205/55 15. What are the pros and cons here? I have a 1989 325i with H&R sport springs and Bilstein sport dampers. The fenders are not rolled.

205 50 15 has too small of an OD. The 225 50 15s should work, but you might need to roll fenders. If you want to just put some tires on and not worry, go for the 205 55 15.

Correct OD isnt really that important for the track. If it were me I would go with 225/45/15 for gearing advantage. You might need small spacers up front to clear the strut.

when i bought my car it had 185/60/14 on the weaves. It looked retarded with the stock ride height!

u say undersized? hmm... maybe just a bit, but they look great on my 318, and on those 195/50 i get best acceleration an traction as well in U turns... and they never got blown, just pump them to 2.5atmospheres and race ;)
