    16x7.5 et14

would these wheels be too "pokey" with an et14? they are BBS RS if that matters.

Its personal preferance really, look at cars with similar wheel dimensions and fitment. I think et20-25 is generally a go-to for "comfortable" fitment, I know of people who have used spacers that drop their offset to around 15 and still had their wheels work. Just my two cents if its worth anything

^^^^^^^ this. I agree. 16x8. Et 20 is the best case scenario. A good tire size for that fitment would be 225/45/16. Nexen tire is my personal choice. Actually 225/45/16 would work with your specs. Good Luck. Cheers!

offsets always confuse me. is et20 more "pokey" then et25?

why are wheel offsets and how they will sit on a car such a hard concept for me to grasp?

instead of starting a new thread i will ask it here, what is a good BBS RS model to look out for if I am interested in very slight modification from oem. conservative lowering. Nothing aggressive.

Et20 would have more "poke" than et25. This picture should explain it hopefully. 16 inch wheels are about as far as id go in diameter personally, however people have run 17's on non-m3's. You might need slight fender pulling/rolling depending on your stance and offset. The higher the offset the more the wheel will sit in the Wheelwell. As far as model goes, thats personal preferance. Quite a few people like using style 5's due to the cost and end up getting adapters for 5 lug. Just make sure you get higher offset style 5's if you plan to do that to compensate for the adapters (adapter would effectively drop your offset from 20 to say 16 hypothetically speaking). Go ahead and find some e30's that you like on the forum and pm the owners about the specs on their wheels and their suspension if you're really curious, people are usually pretty hepful here
