So, anybody did this work, can you tell me how many cans i should use, and what type of sandpaper i need, and which brand is the best, i only need to paint back to silver, or light grey, I saw somebody use VHT, so please help me with this questions

I take it that this is your first time painting anything?

If so...You're going to fuck it up, so let's call it a learning experience. Plus it's 14" wheels that you'll later laugh at for keeping. ;)

Let me give you some pointers that you won't follow. When painting *anything* you need to prep the surface. Read this next part about 5 times.....When you re-spray a car, you'll spend a 100 hours or more in the prep, and then about 20 mins in the booth actually laying down paint. Prep is everything.

For paint to stick the surface it must be clean. Like really clean. Not just "it looks clean to me!" - but like there is nothing on it. No dust, no oils, no flaky paint...nothing.

Then you want the surface to have a "bite" for the paint to stick. You can do that with some sandpaper, others use a 3m scothbright pad. You want it to be course enough that the paint will grab to the surface, but not so course that it will show up.

After that clean up the dust with something like mineral spirits and a tack cloth.

Then spray finally. Light coat at first - and then follow the instructions on wait times.

None of this you follow your first time. I know I didn't.

We ended up using 2 Packs of Duplicolor HSK100 Hyper Sliver Wheel Coating on our 15" Euro weaves. We used simple Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner and a 3M Heavy Duty Scouring Pads to pre-clean/prep the wheels. I used a variable speed Dremel with a 120 grit Flapwheel on wheel lip damage. Then 240 and 400 wet & dry sand paper to smooth everything out prior to paint.
