In that white m-tech2, are both front and rear et0?

It seems like rear rim could hit to body

I've tested 9*16" et 15 (215/40)with and w/o 10mm spacers and it looks like even after fender roll I can't get full lock to lock.

I have early body so 9*16" et 15 (215/40)at rear won't rub with fenders rolled, I might possibly try et0 or et5 rear.

correct, hub mounting position will be same, just 12.5mm or half inch less on both sides of the wheel will have to be accounted for.

ive seen crazy wide wheels and stretched ass tires on e30s in germany. what makes these wheels with similar sizes.. different?
If you have to run stupid stretched tires and not use the width of the wheel at all, I don't consider that "fitting". If you look at my original post, I use "fit" because it's subjective.

    Here is a 16x8 ET20 wheel:

With a 225 tire, it rubs the stock fenders. If you want to run a wheel that is 20mm further out, your only chance is with 205 tires. And in my books, you may as well run 205's on stock rims. But people have different aims, so I'll just keep using the phrase "fit".

are there any pics of the hub mounting surface of these wheels? maybe they could be machined a little bit.

Somebody should try it. Just so somebody could say, "I told you so". I wouldnt even consider an 8" wheel without 225's though.

I bet I could fit them with 225's if I went with max negative camber, but that would be too much for proper traction.

The tires would stick out 30mm more than this

and that is with flared fenders and 3.7 degrees negative camber...

    i disagree then.

some people dont want to roll fenders and think stretched tires is stupid/ugly but others think the opposite. i personally am thinking of running some of these wheels. the price is right, and at 16 lbs per wheel for a good size and offset. not to mention they look good. with a nice stretched tire and my very rolled fenders the fitment (or as its reffered to as "the poke" on bmw forums) would be perfect. if a 15 or 16X9 with a 20 offset fits..why wouldnt a 15x8 0 offset??:D
I think you'd be wise to listen to Mystical on this one.

well... i found a GB that is going on and these wheels come out to about $439 shipped... then you can slap on whatever tires you feel like using. its just so cheap, you kinda want to make it work. plus that lip is gorgeous!
