Will these wheels fit? info inside...

    Car:

    1989 325i

    Suspension:

    Bilstein sport shocks
    H&R race springs

    Wheels:

    17x7, 205/40/17, ET 27
    17x8.5, 215/40/17, ET 18

The wheels require adaptors, so the ET's could also be:

    17x7, 205/40/17, ET 23
    17x8.5, 215/40/17, ET 22

    Thanks,

    Stephan

um if i understood this properly youre going to add spacers? if thats the case then the offset will decrease, giving you 23 and 14, providing centerbore is fine (I assume this is what the adapters are for) then the fronts will fit no worries and the rears will but probably need to roll your guards.

also id run 215/40 all round, and if possible wider in the back, unless you want the stretched look.

The first setup will work fine, but you will need to roll the rear fenders very aggressively, and run stiff springs.

The second setup will work slightly better.

And with either setup, the car will understeer horribly.

the ET's that I posted include the adaptors being on there.

The wheel ET's are 50 and 55, with adaptors the figures will be as listed.

Why do you think the car will under steer a lot? factory tire width for the car is 195, adding a 205 tire in the front aids in a larger contact patch on the road. plus being able to run a stiffer side wall tire and higher PSI.

        Thanks, Stephan

Yes, a 205 in the front will decrease understeer, but in your original post, you said you were going to use a 215 tire in the rear, which would promote understeer.
