    BBS RS refinishing... Step 1

    ok so here are the pics of the wheels after i broke them down. as you can see they are dirty, grimey and nasty. hope to post pics of the final version shortly..

      Yan, its tough to say if the lips need to be sandbalsted. Up to this point I have never had it done. I have always stripped the clear and and just sanded. If your lips are painted, then chances are they were sandblasted before painting. The set that I'm doing now appears to be previously sandblasted and I'm catching hell trying to smooth them out.

      If the lips are painted, put some paint remover on a small area so we can see what the surface looks like underneath. I'm not trying to back out of our deal, but I want to be sure that I can deliver a nice shine.

        dave they look awesome under the paint. i have some areas were the paint is and has chipped and they look clean, lear and smooth as if they are polished under the paint. i dont knwo if thats normal but i think these look like an easy set to polish beacuse they are i think under the paint. i wont touch them. ill send them out to ya without sandblasting.
