    215/45/17

i have a chance to get a cheap deal on a brand new set of rims and tires. tires are 215/45/17, will these rub?

offset can be changed with spacers, but i'm planning on around et15-20

i'm also planning on running GC with about 1.5-2 degrees negative camber.

my 215/40/17s are pretty damn close, adn I destroyed a pair of front fenders before I rolled them...I would not try a /45.

i was thinking it would be too tall, but with negative camber it might help a bit. i think the rims are 7 inches wide becuase from the pictures the tires look pretty flush, no stretch

They might be 7.5in wide too. My 215s look like that on my ronals.

I have that size tire on my car.
The wheels are 17x7 et40 with 20mm spacers.

At first they rubbed a lot. The front tires would snag on the fender lips going in and out of driveways, and would also rub on the plastic brake duct backing plate thing when it was close to full lock.

The rear tires rubbed the inside of the quarter panels under hard cornering.

After I rolled the fenders, the tires stopped catching the lips.
In order to eliminate the rubbing in the rear, I had my spacers machined down 7mm.

          Now, it rarely rubs.
