    Should I go from 205/55/15...

    to 225/50/15? Ronal LS ET25 (I think). H&R and Bilstein sports.


    FYI, the slope of my driveway does not help.

    sidewall size is roughly the same

        well, generally the idea of a wider tire having more grip would be the benifit. as long as you keep it in the same family of tire [brand, designation, etc] then you would notice a difference.

        its hard to say because you never really asked what you were looking for by going up a size.

          I'm looking for wider tire w/ a lower profile.

            Yes, go 225/50. But the sidewall size is very close between the two sizes. If you want a lower profile, you should get bigger wheels.
