Say good bye to your oil pan. those are far too skinny to be sitting out that wide.
It's not such a great deal. Good steel wheels can be bought for cheap.

I was refering to the tire with the skinny comment. The choice for tires sucks for 14" rims. Let alone a 8.5" rim. Maybe a race tire.

They're widened steelies you dolt, that is indeed a very good deal for that package, they're not your average junkyard 14x5 rims. Like he said, that rubber alone was worth close to what he's wanting and those rims alone could sell for that price.
Pretty spendy wheels huh....LOL. And they are not home made specials.
Dolt....lol.
Those rims could not sell for that price unless you're and idiot.
$260.00 for wheels 65.00 per 15 x 8 rim (suited for a more available tire size)
$40.00 shipping
$296.00 tires 74.00 each 205 50 15 RT-615 Azenis (which are wider and a stickier tire)
$40.00 shipping
$60.00 for mounting
Total: $696.00 and you have everything brand new with a stickier wider tire.

You're missing the whole point. You gain nothing with a 195 tire stretched over a 8.5" rim. A 15 x 8 with the 205 50 15 Azenis tire would make that combo look silly. And only for 150.00 more for all new items.
Keep scaping the bottom of the barral...theres nothing there...lol.

Maybe you can try to stretch that 195 tire over that.

Do you now know about tire stretching? They're skinny like that on purpose, it's for the stretched euro look.
Of course those aren't the right size for the tire, that's the point. :D
And those wheels you posted don't look anything like the ones that I posted initially, other than that they're steelies. And I was only about half-serious to begin with. VW's are about the only cars that could really pull those wheels off. Stop getting so defensive and serious about it.
What does a 15x8 and a Falken tire have anything to do with this thread?
Dude, you're bringing up tires that aren't the same and rims that aren't the same. I'm bringing up points as to why it's a good deal and as you're saying, you're "scraping the bottom of a barrel" as to why you think this for some reason isn't a good deal.
I think you're missing the whole point, those aren't for function as much as they are for looks. Widened steelies are a pretty huge thing in the VW scene, i'm surprized those haven't sold yet, i've seen widened steelies without the tires go for that much.

Fuckin' word.
Really, i think the right e30 could pull those off, a light colored one with some type of body skirting and dumped to the ground.
That's damn right they are not the same. Because you get more for your money plus why do the wheels have to look the same?
And why can't I get all serious about it.

Because then I have less fun giving you a hard time about it. :D
