    what size tires should i run?

    off topic, but i just bought 18' e46 m3 wheels for my e36. thay are staggard (8' and 9'). So what size tire combo should i run???

    if you want to maintain stock outer diameter and thus speedometer, odometer accuracy and effective gearing, you'd need in the order of 215/35/18 which is closest at .3% too large. most of those arent manufactuer approved for 9" rims though.
    225/35/18 are, in general, mfg approved for 9" rims, but are 1.4% too large.

    between those 2, tirerack has i think 10-15 different tires.

    you can of course go larger than thhose sizes, but the larger you go, the further off your speedo and odometer are, as well as the lower your effective gearing and thus slower your acceleration will be.
    your gearing limited top speed will be higher, but your aero limited top speed will be lower.
