Goodyear running a rebate on tires till the end of the month. (JAN 'o7)

Goodyear running a rebate on their tires 'till the end of the month.

Total price determines the $20, $40, $60 rebate. You had to open a Goodyear card to qualify, and put your purchase on it - but who cares since there wasn't a prepay penalty.

I got a set of 4) 235/40-17 GS-D3's mounted, balanced, chrome sleeved stems & caps, WA sales taxed, and a road hazard warrenty.

    -----------------------------------------------

Tirerack.com was $153 ea. plus $42 to ship, and $73.44 for their road hazard.

Total on your doorstep - $727.16

My local Goodyear quoted me $81 to M & B if I brought in my own tires for all 4, WA sales tax and 4 stems included in that.

So your real total was $808.16 off the internet.

My total was ~ $100 less than that, PM me if you want the exact amount to take to your local dealer. I'll scan my receipt for you for proof.

If you have a cool retailer, you get to support local economy, and get a better price. Win win!

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I hate good years, they suck balls. but you did a good thing by supporting a local guy and if you like em more power to you.

I can get them cheaper. I'd rock the hell out of GS-D3's if I could. I'm prolly getting Toyo T1-r's instead, for ~$100 for a 225/45r16

I'm calling BS.....and if you can show proof that you beat my price by any any amount worth talking of, I'll apoligize.

If your way just was living in a state without sales tax, woo-hoo - I wasn't driving to Oregon.

          Prove it.

            Show me. I PM'ed you.

If you can get them cheaper, why haven't you posted? - I'm trying to help people out who otherwise wouldn't think they are affordable.

You just one of those guys who go through life only thinking of yourself? Sure looking like it. It would be nice to post if you can save people money.

Plus you can make me look stupid, if that's any incentive. Otherwise still BS.

Oh, and if you are using your employee discount at Les Schwab, I'm more than happy paying the extra $$.

Sorry, I didn't see this. Yeah, employee discount, but not at Les Schwab, I sell tires at a Goodyear/Gemini auto care center. I'll let you know tomorrow what I could get them for.

And I get those Toyos for $99.40.

If you were anywhere near me, I'd have tried to hook you up, but shipping to WA kinda kills any discount I could get.

                Les Schwab...

I *might* consider buying tires from those hack jobs and having them installed elsewhere, but they're never getting near my car with tools.

Why? What did they do? I have had great customer service through them.

Too much to get into here, but I've had numerous bad experiences with them, and so have several other of my friends and family.

What is Les Schwab anyway? We don't have them on this coast.

Tire stores in general can eat a dick. I buy my tires online and mount them myself.

They're a tire retailer that started actually just about 30 minutes from where I live. They do tires, wheels, brakes, alignment, and suspension kits.

They're also assholes who do crappy work and more often than not, do not know what they're talking about. That's been my experience, anyway.

Les Schwab Tire Centers bring you the best selection, quality, and service every time on tires, brakes, wheels, batteries, shocks, and alignment services.

You're better off not knowing - take mine & J's word on it. I figured you as a L.S. employee w/ the Toyo reference. They push the crap out o' those things - must be a high profit margin.

It's almost cool that you are under an employee discount, I'd have called you a few choice words if you had just known of a good deal, but were too lazy to post it. Stuff like that is laaame, especially when a doo-doo head only posts something like "Yeah, well I can get ______ cheaper". - Whoop tee doo, information that was useful BEFORE I bought ______.

Calling you on an employee discount FTW.
