    black/polished kopis

I am going to be purchasing Kopis off of Mr. RCwells and really can't wait (so hurry up Bobby haha). Anyways my car is going to have a black/red theme minus the interior (for now).

I would eventually like to get the kopis painted glossly black with a polished lip (was told to do so because red/black needs some contrast). I have a couple questions:

Is polishing the lip of a kopi possible? I know that they are small but just that little contrast would be nice. Or can I extend the lip a little? I don't think a big lip on a 17" would look good.

Also who does this type of work? Auto painters or are there specialized people that work with refurbing wheels? Any in Columbus, Ohio that any of you know of that will do a good job?

    Thanks

There is no way to extend a single piece alloy wheel.

A competent wheel refurber could do this job.

Ray, from what I can see yours is the black/polished look. Did you have them done independently or did you order them like that? If you had someone else do it how much approxaimately did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
        Thanks

They do look good but from the sig it looks like they are black/polished..haha I will just spray brakedust particles on the wheels and see how they look. Thanks Ray

            Anyone else want to add?

Its the wrong kind of lip to polish. Not the material the style. A flatter less round lip works better.
You can do it i just dont think it will look right. not enough lip.

I wonder if I I can polish the entire wheel minus the spokes and have them black. I wonder if that would give an optical illusion that the lips were bigger.

I know that they aren't the ideal lips to polish but just that little might be good.
