    offset help - PLEASE!

I can get some custom rims made to fit the car in a 5X120. I am going to be going with a 17 or 18.

What is the best combo for width and offset so I will not have to run spacers? If this question is too tough, or limited. Please inform me the best way to calculate what I need/want to run for offset.

    Thank you!

HINT: I will be running M3 (e30) suspension parts. :)

do u already have 5-lug? if not count the adapter in the offset game. Ideal offsets for 7" rim is about et25, 7.5" closer to et20, 8" maybe et 15 or lower?.

So if you get et40 wheels, 7" width, you'll want 15mm spacers

I will be running all e30 M3 parts (housings + trailing arms). I WANT to run a set of M5 wheels....they are 8" wide with 20mm offset.

        Question is too limited.

Give me a desired diameter and width, and I can tell you what offset will work.

For example, factory M5 wheels are 17x8 ET20, but 17x8 ET25 would work even better. If we were talking 18" wheels, my answer would change also.

          Here is the 411:

Wheels: 18 x 8" / 20mm offset replica. These wheels are manufactured in a original equipment plant to original specification. They are DOT, JWL, VIA and TUV approved. They are side impact and load bearing tested. They are manufactured with the highest quality A-365.2 virgin aluminum. The finish is superior and we are the manufacture. :)

We dont need a history on the wheel lol... we need diameter, width and offset. Tire size is also another important factor which will be decided depending on the wheel specs.

Yeah, I cut and paste. However the size is included in the paste as you can see! :) 18X8 with 20mm offset.

                    Correct tire size would be

                    215/35/18 or 255/30/18.

Many will suggest the 255 tire, but it probably won't fit well without rubbing.

Tire sizes according to Miata tire Calc:

I plan on rolling the fenders as well....if I need to.

225/35/18 will do the trick with that wheel setup. You will have to roll all 4 corners.

Ideally, for an 18x8" rim I'd want ET30 or so. Lots of room for 245/35/18.

                            wheel off set calculator

I found this pretty accurate, doesnt take into account wheel diameter/strut tube slope, but its pretty good!
