    RAD Locks
Mike, no offense, but this is one corny ass post. You sound like Ron Popeel (sp?). Good looking locks though, do they come in longer than stock sizes?

I have a set of RAD locks that came with my volvo. Not like anyone is going to steal 4x108 rims (only came on the 93 volvo 850's after that they went 5 lug).

      they're pretty nice

Anyone who could and would want to steal your wheels, will have the proper tool to remove wheel locks.

IMO, just don't park where your wheels will get stolen.

I dunno, these rad lock things have coded keys. Each key is different, for a replacement key you need to call in your code #. Not sure how the average thief would get around that without some power tools. I suppose if you were able to sledge on a nut remover or maybe a big socket, then hit with an electric impact, you might get it off, but I think that could take a long time.

F if I know, I'm sure thieves are more clever than I am.

found this article, it's written rather well:

On friday I was on the highway about 20 minutes from the house, all giggles how I was getting a new set of falkens put on the volvo. Sears was pricematching a website's super low price, and I was happy. As I got on the offramp, I remembered I left the wheel lock keys at home. I got to do another quick round trip to get them.

They make tools that remove any wheel lock. If you have a stripped wheel lock, or just a good one that needs removing, this socket gets them off, but it does destroy the lock. Im sure theifs dont care about the condition of YOUR wheel locks though.

As stated, they make tools for this. $20 at Sears. I just removed a set for my neighbor, took about 15min to get 4 wheels off. That was working with one person and a jack. An organized thief could get a set off in 5 minutes.

RAD Locks come in over 100 applications with lengths from 23mm to over 60mm perfect if you've got spacers!

There's no question a lock can be removed by a professional with proper equipped tools. The question however is if they're going to hassle with a car equipped with locks, or simply move on to a much easier and quicker target.

The purpose of locks is not to make wheels IMPOSSIBLE to remove with locks, but to make it more difficult, and make the thief think twice.

This is the entire reason behind wheel locks, and even though I know how to remove them, I Am thinking about purchasing a setup.

Mike, I need longer than 60mm..any chance? (I think..need to double check)

It doesn't take magic to remove wheel locks. It's just an extra step that's a pain in the ass.

I've pulled a full set of Borbet T's (they are now on my bro's car), and a full set of BBS RA's at the Pick-n-pull and both sets had wheel locks.
I didn't use any power tools, or any special tools.
