my friend who is sponsored by bridgestone says they are the most amazing tire he's ever driven on.

although that may be a biased comment.

I'm going on a limb here and giving him the benefit of the doubt... but if he ever gets rid of those tires and they still have a bit of life left.... ask him to send them to me :)... I want to see what they are all about, even if they only last me about a lap or two.

Speaking of which.... WHERE MAH STICKERZ!?

yea i read up on them on tire rack and the guys say they are awesome. a bit pricier than the F1 GS-D3 but then again they have a stiffer sidewall and softer compound

Look an awful lot like the Formula 1 wet compound tires, not that it means anything.

As for the F1 GSD3 comparison, the goodyears are a very hard compound yet get a lot of grip despite this. im curious to see how well these things would do, next time i need tires on the 16's these may be it [currently run gsd3's]

Joe how have the DSG3s been for you on cornering? do you auto X or track the car with them?

no autox, street use they are amazing, best tires around IMO. great tread wear, tons of grip, even more grip in the wet [even when bald] corning response is great, but my car is done up a little, and some modifications are to help turn in.

i know of people that have used them at an autox and claim they chunk when hot. i never had them hot enough to cause this, so im not sure.

                    My car:
h&r sports, bil sports, M3 CAB, IC front bar [22mm] m3 rear bar, hartge strut brace, 16X7 with 215/50-16's.

I've heard good things. My girlfriend got the RE050A Pole Position on her '04 WRX a few weeks ago and they're way better than her S0-3's were. Kind of makes me sad because I have a near new set of S0-3's on the M Coupe.

The M5 is needing tires in the next few months (needs them now, but at 20 miles per week they'll last), so hopefully Bridgestone starts expanding the RE-01R lineup with the quickness.

Based on how nice the RE050A Pole Positions are, I wouldn't hesitate to throw RE01R's on an E30.
