    hardest 235/45-17 tires?

What is the longest lasting tires I can get in this size 235/45-17. My moms POS mercedes eats through tires, she has gone through 5 sets and the car has 60 thousand miles, she also drives like a mom. I don't care about grip, noise or anything just for the damn things to last more than a year. I run the same size tires and my tires lasts twice as long with me driving. We've tried various models of Continentials, Pirellis, BFG and Falkens. If only we can get those Douglas tires from Walmart those things do not wear out. Even 400 tread ratings didn't last more than 8 months.

what? 5 sets with 60k? that sound crazy, i would say get something with a 380AA+ rating, the higher the number (UTQG)the harder the compound, correct me someone of I'm wrong
    so:

There is something seriously wrong with the alignment or suspension... There is no excuse to why tires would wear that fast unless they are ultra soft/R-Compound.

Don't know, wearing is perfect though, even aross the entire surface. The first set was my fault but the last set was BFG gsports that has a 400 wear rating and that was put on in august.

BFGoodrich Traction T/A. They will last forever, and actually are excellent tires.

What kind of MB are we talking about and how is it driven? Hard and aggressive or tame with miserable streets and a worn out suspension?

Will look into the Traction T/As BFGs always lasted very good for us thats why I went with the g forces but that didn't work.

This is a w210 e320 sport. Its driven by my mom to bring my little sister to school and to the bingo hall. Suspension should still be good, I haven't been to the roads at reservation where the casino is but I dont think they could be that horrible. What I don't get is this thing eats tires. Not expecting all season type wear but it should last longer than the tires we have on the E34 with me driving.

Have you enquired on some of the MB forums? Get it straight from the MB folks.

+1, aside from that Toyo makes some tires that wear like nails, but I bet they feel as good as golfing with a Pinnacle ball. I hate those things, even the balata jobs bite.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Don't have to join...just do a search on them for make and model and tire wear.
