Ecsta 711s or Ziex 512 for Ronals?

Just about to get the Ronal LS's. Question: I know the Ziex is a close fit w/o rubbing, but will the Ecsta 711 fit also (225/50/15)?
Also, I have been very happy in the past w/the Ziex's. So happy that our TL-S had 2 sets, and my car is on its second set.
Price not taken into account, which is the better tire?

Can't comment on ziex tires but I do think those particular kumho's are garbage, mx's are a great tire but I'm pretty sure they don't make a

I have a set of 711s on my ronals currently, they suck. I would recomend anything else in 215/50 or 225/50. I recomend the Hankook Ventus RS2, BGF Sports or anything else. It is my experience that the Kuhmo MXs are good tires though.

Kumho makes some good tires (MX, V700, V710 etc) but the 711 (I had that tire once or maybe it was a 712) is not one of them. Look at Kumho MX, Falken Azenis RT615, Hankook RS2, Goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgstone KDW or Potenza S02/S03, Toyo T1R if price isn't a concern and you find one in the right size.

          my 2 cents.

Thanks... it was hard to tell how good the 711s would be off of reading 1010tires reviews... most of the guys with those tires seem to drive Civics
I will look at all those you mentioned above. I have always wanted to try the Toyos but they are a little more pricey... and it's unlikely I will be driving the car all that much over the next few years...

Since you've already had 2 sets you obviously know this, but I love my 512's in the rain.

Agreed. I don't think I've ever hydroplaned with them... when they're new, you can drive into 3" water at 40mph and you'll just slow down...fast.

I had an automatic civic that was able to spin the ziex's on damp pavement really quickly. we all know how torqueless the civics are and, for me, that's a testament to how poorly they work in wet weather.

                  great tire otherwise imho.

Well if your trying I hope you can get a tire spinning in the rain.

I just got home from passing about 6 cars in the pouring rain, they didn't stand a chance.

Ziex really are a decent tire for the price.

Will the Hankook RS2 work on the Ronals w/o having to use spacers?

EDIT: Well, doesn't matter to me anymore, I just ordered my 5th set of Falkens. My 14" weaves (w/new Falkens) are for sale in the wheels buy/sell section. I will be updating that thread tonight or tomorrow with pics...

Just for the record: they will work with Ronals without spacers (9.2" section width).

have you tried to do a burnout in an automatic bone stock civic?
not so easy unless you neutral drop the piece of garbage.
