    Wheel size input needed

I am looking at putting a set of 17x7 et25 wheels on with 225/40r17 tires. Does anyone forsee any problems with any rubbing or fitment issues at all ? I will also be putting koni adjustable sport shocks with H & R race springs. I figure there will be some fender rolling involved but if anyone thinks there will be anything else that needs attention please let me know.

you'll be miles from both the fender and the strut.

    go for it!

There are no good 225/40/17 tires made.

Buy a set of 215/40/17's and you'll be golden. No rolling.

I am not really interested in a super high performance sticky tire as I have had them in the past when I had an Infiniti Q45 lowered with 17's under it and frankly got realy tired of putting tires on every 8000 k. I just am not all that interested in a tire that is rated by the hour than the mile. This is just a set up for typical road running, when I want the handling part then I will slap some slicks under it for autocross etc..... I was just concerned about a 1.5-2.0 drop with a tire of that size on a rim just a touch undersized in width and rubbing either the struts and or the fender. Might even consider a 235/40-17 as well but that might really be pushing it too. Thanks for the info. I just got the car last week and have been thinking of what I wanted for quite sometime now. It just took forever to find a good car. Most coupes out there are either rusted, wrecked or just simply JUNK to start with and I was not wanting a huge project to have a nice car in the end. I ended up finding a 1991 325i auto black/black all original paint with 129k on it. The worst part was the dash had to be the worst I have ever seen. But granted the car was up to 2001 a Florida car until it made it too Tennessee. The interior looks new although not sport seats. I already have Black Sport seats to go in it and a dash on the way. As I get somethings done to it I will post pictures. First is to get timing belt and A/C work done then I drop the suspension and wheels on.

Just get any 215/40/17 long-wearing tire, the Kumho SPT should fit your needs perfectly (long wearing, soft riding, great traction).

          235/40/17 will not work.

I have 17/7 with an offset of et 25 with 205/40/17's with no rolled fenders and lowered suspension with no problems whatsoever and plenty of room.
