It's hard to tell the difference between a really aggressive polish and chrome, in my humble opinion.

My wheels have polished lips, but they look way more like silver paint than chrome. It's all in how much time/money you're willing to spend.

Dan's a big boy. He can handle critism better than most others.
The mesh just looks odd for some reason... almost blocky? Dan has a nice car, just don't see the need to cheapen it up with these wheels.

          My .02....

some OE 16" alpinas, or 16" azev's would be awesome on his car, again IMHO.

Cheapen it up? Aren't you running two different colour wheels on an M3? :p

Messing with you man. On a sidenote, I saw these exact wheels on a circa 1990 Honda Accord last night. Black centres, silver painted lips. They looked a little rough, but will still be ballin on an E30.

And with that I commit suicide.

As for the comments on the wheels, I still want 16" wheels, something rare like these...Chris I wouldn't call them cheap really, they are a true three piece and they're still pretty rare, I don't see any other E30's rocking them.

I want to really refinish them, being OCD is really a problem though, once the wheels go on then I'll want to really fix the car up. I'll probably end up selling these for something else, who knows.

I'm not saying they're cheap.... look at all the bling bling chrome rims out there. They cost more than most people should ever spend on wheels for a hooptie, but they *look* cheap.

The spokes on these just look wrong, and they look *cheap* because RS' are the "gold standard".

I am running 2 different colored wheels, I learned that trick from ACS promo shots of their new cars.. from each side it looks like a different baller wheel setup! I just openly admitted it... oops! ;) At least its the same wheel on each side, and not 2 styles.

                Best,
                C

Wheel Worx is the shit. They refinished my 16's and they look brand new. They had curb rash on them and you can't even tell now.

                      Those wheels look real nice!!

Are they a three piece wheel? I wonder if they do that.

                          Cuban D is a bitch. It's a true story.

Getting these wheels on your car has been an epic saga. Iv'e had 3 e30s in the time its taken for you to fit them. Less Googling their provenance, more fitting to vehicle and posing.

Ack! You guys are right...its been a frustrating cycle...I need to bite the bullet...and I measured and they are 4x100 so I'm okay. All I need is tires, 3mm spacers, and hubrings from 57.1-60.1.

                              Oh and get them straightened.

Well I picked up some spacers, going to stop by a local tire shop and pickup some hubrings. Now I have to drop these babies off to get them straightened out, I'm not doing a full restoration at this time.

So after Shakey's post I realized how lazy my ass had become, getting these wheels ready was as slow as a sloth jacking off.

So I dropped off the wheels today to get them straightened and the bends removed...wasn't cheap, but the shop I took them to is recently opened, and is very close by and does excellent work.

I ordered some universal 3mm spacers, so now the last 2 things I need are tires and hub rings. I'm so stoked to put them on, a full refinishing would have taken 10 weeks as they put it, and I may get Kodiak lips later anyways.

                                So stay tuned!
