Mine are one piece, and as far as I remember, they stopped doing 3 piece wheels. Check their website though.

Haha I will have the wheels back on Monday, they are only getting straightened, their prices were a little nuts for anything else, they said $200 a wheel to polish the lips to a mirror finish! And another $140 per wheel to take all the rash and gouges out! Thankfully there wasn't enough to justify that kind of fundage.Reminiscing...Comment

Well I got my wheels back from the shop today, came out great! There are still nicks and cuts, but it'll do. I found a really heavy duty polisher, adams car care products Metal Polisher #2. Its making a real nice difference in the oxidation on the wheel, but I may need to get the #1 for a tougher viscocity.
I'll post before and after pictures here, but not until the weekend. Jay if you're still actually reading this thread, I need a long treadlife 225/50 tire, the next most important thing being dry traction. The price is next. The rest is not as important.Reminiscing...Comment

I read all things alloy and rubber.
None of the 225 choices really last that long. The ZE-512 has sublime dry traction and is dirt cheap, which kind of negates the need for long lasting, I guess. They also run narrow, so you'll have less fender rolling to do. I recommend these for your wants.

I have already rolled my fenders quite a bit, its not very noticeable either, so I can run some wider tires if need be. I know the 205/55 would give me more "stretch" look...but lower profile is awesome-r.
Anyways, if its on DiscountTireDirect I'm picking them up very soon. This metal polish is outstanding though guys, I will have pictures later.
Jay what do you make of this review?
Does that make any sense or is it just jargon? Let me know if there's a way to prolong their life with a higher tire pressure, which I heard was needed with these Falkens...oh and unidirectional means they stay on one side, so fronts to go rear and vice versa correct? Some people complain about fast tire wear. Pay attention to the max pressure. If your OEM tire max pressure was 44 psi max and you replace it with 51 psi max (with the same load rating), you need to scale the operating pressure as well. Say your car OEM sticker says 33 psi. The new pressure for the 51 psi max rated tire is 33*51/44 = 38.25 psi. If your new tire load rating is different then the old one you need to factor it in. Say, if your old tire was 94H (1477 lbs max) and the new one is 95H (1521 lbs max) , the calculation is 33*51/44*1477/1521 = 37.14 psi. You will get better milage and longer tread life.
Honestly, whichever tire size shows off the wheels more is my choice. 205/55 or 225/50? :DLast edited by M42Technik; 05-22-2007, 06:13 PM.Reminiscing...Comment

Back from a long week, thanks for that info Jay, I thought it was worth noting at least.
Well I finally got my metal polish stuff together, just rings and tires needed, but my car won't start! I have to fix that first obviously.
Going to post pictures of the stuff I used, works awesome.
EDIT: Here are some photos of the work I've done to fix 'em up. I am using a super fine #0000 steel wool piece to clean them moreso. The one I've worked on is on the left, how I got them is on the right.

Oh and I put a little on my dad's new toy:

Its for sale though, business not pleasure, although I'm trying to convince him otherwise...Last edited by M42Technik; 05-29-2007, 04:15 PM.Reminiscing...Comment
