    245/35/17 on a 17x7.5?

1010tires recommends 8-9" for a 245, but i want to try and run it on my Kopis. any1 tried this before?

245's on a 7.5" wheel will look goofy imo, like big donuts.

215's are the right size. I have 235's and 215's on 17x8's, and 245 would be pretty goofy on a 17x7.5 imho. Got bulge? haha

245 is too big for a 7.5" wheel just throw some 225's on them and you will be set.

The problem is, there is a very poor selection of 225/40-17 tires. And by very poor, I mean there is only one brand that makes that size...

Well why can he go 225/45/17? It doesn't say he has to use 40

              I have 245/35's on my 8.5" DS2's and I couldn't imagine that tire on a smaller wheel.

Do 235/40's on the Kopi wheels if you want something big. I had that size on my car for a while. You'll need to do heavy rolling front and rear though. The 235's are a little big for the wheel but not bad.

A 225/45/17 would be WAY too tall.

yeah...a Z has a much larger tire clearance than an e30. i used to own a Z. i do know my shit, i know it will be large, i was just wondering if any1 had first hand experience. ALSO, how do you know what i have under my hood to tell me 225 is plenty of tire? 225 was plently on a m20...

Is your set staggered? I want to do 245/35s on mine but they are staggered and it would look goofy to rotate. Although...i do have access to a mounter/balancer

Well if 225 isn't enough someone should look at getting some wider wheels.
